Bitter Beings
How easy would it be to kill someone? It should be super easy, at least in this day and age. There is no shortage of sharp instruments. All you have to do is push/pull/slash until the target ceases the bodily functions attributed to life. I suppose that if it sounded like too much work, human ingenuity has created tools that fire projectiles fast enough to pentrate skin and tissue and cause potentially fatal damage. Nearly perfect, but both methods are difficult to escape suspicion. Well there is poison! No need to be up close, you don’t even have to see your victim!
I suppose that the method of murder depends on the target, and the desired reaction from the secondary victims that must discover the body. A gaping wound carved by a knife serving as a window to the soft bits inside. Maybe the split second warning as the gun fires a bullet into a political opponent. Or the mysterious and sudden death as the victim simply stops breathing. Simulation aside, Murder is a terrible, horrible thing. But is the capacity to kill a trait shared within all humanity?
